Laboratory NO.2 Edris Abdi, Awara Omer

تاقیگەی ژم

Adding to the irritating and anxiety-inducing sound of a dripping tap, a story emerges from the shadows of a gloomy laboratory. A man carries out the same task every day: washing and taking care of bodies donated to science. Day after day, he repeats the same steps to prepare and arrange the body so students can examine it. His fate is intrinsically linked to that of the anonymous deceased. Spending time with the body becomes habitual, he starts to feel attached and consider them an equal. Laboratory NO.2 explores the uncomfortable and macabre affinities between life and death through a man who encounters it on a daily basis, calmly awaiting his own demise.
