High up in a glass tower, deep within the modern, downtown streets of an unnamed city, a solitary woman’s imagination can’t be contained by the walls of her hotel room. In Ode to Loneliness, the room’s boundaries dissolve and transform into transparent surfaces onto which an array of playful images are superimposed. A compelling artistic interaction between an inventive sound design and visual composition of precise camera work helps to pry reality away from the monotony of daily life, one object at a time. The result is a new perspective on this confined yet apparently limitless space.
