This film takes a head-on look at the difficulty of cohabiting. Society’s lack of acceptance of marginal groups is felt on both sides of the camera. The subjective camera plays with the codes of reality and fiction. Directed as a shock documentary, played by people with drug addictions, Quiconque meurt, meurt à douleur uses self-filming to accentuate the truth of its portrayal. Released a year before The Blair Witch Project, Morin’s film is a tour de force that has shaken many.
