Over the last 20 years, 13 meteorites have fallen on the Moroccan desert. Fragments From Heaven follows two men whose lives are intertwined with these impacts that connect sky and earth. Mohamed and his family are nomads living in the desert. Keen to improve his family’s life, he sets out to collect pieces of the meteorites to sell. Abderrahmane is a scientist interested in the meteorites because he thinks they may have the answers to major existential questions about creation and life’s origins. While one scours the arid ground of the Moroccan desert and the other conducts research in a lab, the object of their devotion is the same.
