An activity organized in collaboration with the Association des réalisateurs et réalisatrices du Québec (ARRQ). This roundtable, which will be rich in discussion and proposals, will paint a picture of the difficult practices experienced by documentary filmmakers, in addition to seeking solutions to the sector’s funding problems and the lack of prominence documentary has on our screens. Why is documentary not well known, or considered a minor genre? How can we ensure the sustainability of the documentary profession? What measures should be put in place to ensure the viability of the sector?
