In the vast city of Chongqing, the last of the old districts is due to be demolished. Over the months, the filmmaker befriends Zhou Hong, little prince of Shibati’s alleys, and the extraordinary Mrs. Xue Lian. They are about to leave a world that they have always loved to abruptly enter a new one that they don’t understand.
