Radio-Canada OHdio invites you to Cinéma du Musée on Sunday, November 20, at 3 p.m. for an exclusive listening session of the first episode of its podcast Projet Polytechnique: Faire face produced by Porte Parole in collaboration with Picbois Productions.
More than 30 years after the Polytechnique tragedy, Marc Lépine’s admirers are still active, and the issue of gun control remains unresolved. Femicides are on the rise, and anti-feminist rhetoric is rampant online. Actors Marie-Joanne Boucher and Jean-Marc Dalphond have embarked on a citizen’s initiative to create a documentary play on this topic. They risk striking up conversations with those whose views are entirely different from theirs, and they suggest we do the same.
The listening session will be followed by a discussion with creators Marie-Joanne Boucher and Jean-Marc Dalphond, Annabel Soutar of Porte Parole Productions and Myriam Berthelet, the podcast’s producer.
